A total of eight players have now left Penn State, after kicker-punter Anthony Fera and offensive lineman Ryan Nowicki have been removed from the roster today.

Fera, according to an ESPN report, is transferring to Texas, and Nowicki, according to a report from his hometown paper The Tucson Citizen, will transfer to Illinois.

Nowicki is a redshirt freshman who never played for Penn State. The loss of Fera creates a hole in the kicking game.

Last year, Fera made 14 of 17 field goals and averaged 42 yards per punt. He was named second-team All Big 10.

Alex Butterworth is Penn State's lone punter left on the roster. He punted eight times last year with an average of 38.5 yards per punt. Sam Ficken will likely be the kicker. He made one of two field goal attempts last season.
