Adam Breneman of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill is ranked as the nation's top tight end by Rivals for the class of 2013, and he has committed to Penn State.

But his road to State College could be more difficult than that of a regular recruit. On Thursday at a 7-on-7 practice, his coach, Jim Cantafio, said Breneman injured his knee. He said Breneman will get an MRI on Friday.

Breneman tweeted "Everything happens for a reason.," earlier this afternoon. He committed to Penn State in March. He is 6-5 and weighs 228 pounds.

Cantafio said Breneman was going up for a routine pass, then cut with the ball when the injury occurred.

"He just made a cut and the knee came up," he said.

Cantafio said this was the first serious injury of Breneman's high school career.
