UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. --- Penn State coach Joe Paterno won't be leaving campus after all.

Highly-touted running back Marcus Lattimore from Byrnes (S.C.) High School, who previously said that Paterno planned to visit him Jan. 28, trimmed the Nittany Lions and Oregon from his list of possible colleges last night.

The 6-foot, 210-pound Lattimore, ranked among the top three running backs in the country by some scouting services, said he will choose between South Carolina and Auburn prior to the Feb. 3 national signing day.

Paterno, 83, has not made an in-house visit since going to Jeannette High School to see quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the nation's No. 1 recruit, two years ago.
