The Pitt women's basketball team dropped its 20th consecutive Big East contest Saturday, falling to Villanova 68-52 at the Petersen Events Center.

The Panthers hung tough in the first half and entered halftime trailing just 33-31.

In the second half, though, the Wildcats' precision passing overwhelmed Pitt's defense, and Villanova pulled away. Villanova had 24 team assists to just seven turnovers.

Asia Logan led Pitt with 21 points, and Brianna Kiesel chipped in 11 more.

Pitt has not won a conference game since its 63-60 victory against South Florida in the Big East Tournament on March 4, 2011. The Panthers have not beaten a Big East opponent at home since February 15, 2011, when they topped Providence.
