Pitt took care of business at Heinz Field Saturday, pounding Gardner-Webb, 55-10.

The Panthers overpowered their Division I-AA opponents, racking up 626 total yards to the Runnin' Bulldogs' 127.

Pitt quarterback Tino Sunseri finished 18 of 24 with 344 yards and three touchdowns. He was removed midway through the fourth quarter in favor of backup Trey Anderson.

Running backs Ray Graham, Rushel Shell and Isaac Bennett all scored touchdowns, and Pitt totaled 229 yards on the ground. Graham led the way with 94 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown run in the first quarter that opened the scoring.

The Panthers led 24-10 at halftime, and steamrolled through the second half. Most of Pitt's starters were out of the game by the fourth quarter.

Pitt has a bye week next week and will return to action Oct. 5 against Syracuse.
