Pitt lost to Syracuse 14-13 in the Carrier Dome Friday night.

The loss keeps the Panthers (2-3, 0-2 Big East) winless in the conference this season.

Despite the loss, Pitt quarterback Tino Sunseri completed 25 of 33 passes for 319 yards. He was sacked five times, though, including in a couple of key situations that took the Panthers out of field goal territory.

The Orange defense limited the Panthers to just 27 total rushing yards on 37 carries. The Pitt defense gave up a touchdown on Syracuse's opening drive, but held the powerful Orange offense scoreless after that. Syracuse's only other touchdown came on a fumble recovery.

Pitt returns home to Heinz Field next week to face Louisville at 11 a.m. Saturday.
