Pitt defeats DePaul, 81-66, in regular season finale

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- No. 20 Pitt defeated DePaul, 81-64, today in its final regular-season game as a member of the Big East Conference.
Reserve forward J.J. Moore tied his career high with 21 points.
Pitt set a school record by shooting 71.7 percent (33 for 46) from the field, besting the previous record of 70.8 set earlier this season against Mount St. Mary's.
Pitt is the No. 4 seed and will not play until the quarterfinal round at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Panthers will play Syracuse, Seton Hall or South Florida.
DePaul (11-20, 2-16) will play a preliminary round game Tuesday against Rutgers.
Pitt led 46-35 at halftime. The Panthers shot 76 percent (19 for 25). It was the fourth-best shooting percentage in a half in school history for the Panthers.
