Notre Dame women extend winning streak to 12 with 73-47 win over Pitt

No. 2 ranked Notre Dame extended their dominating win streak at Pitt on tonight, beating the Panthers 73-47 at Petersen Events Center.

The Fighting Irish (17-1) have now won 12 straight, while Pitt has lost five straight, falling to 9-9 overall, 0-5 in the Big East Conference.

The Panthers had their hands full from the start and trailed by as many as 11 in the first half.

But some steady shooting earned a 23-22 lead with 8:20 to play in the first half.

Notre Dame pulled ahead again to lead 35-29 lead at halftime but it was the second half when the Fighting Irish came out on a 19-3 run to bury the Panthers just minutes in.
