Dixon to coach US basketball team

Pitt coach Jamie Dixon will replace Davidson's Bob McKillop as head coach of the United States' 19-and-under men's national team at the FIBA World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand, this summer. An official announcement from USA Basketball is expected early next week.
The FIBA World Championships will be played July 2-12. Some of the top freshmen and a few sophomores will be selected to play on the team. One of them could be highly touted Pitt recruit Dante Taylor, a McDonald's All-American who is expected to be invited for a tryout.
