We continue to ask: Are the Tigers and their major-league-best 32-14 record for real? One third of the way through the season, maybe we'll finally be able to answer with some certainty. Beginning tomorrow with a 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Yankees and Randy Johnson, the Tigers play 13 games in 14 days vs. the Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox and Blue Jays.
Must games in June: Nine games behind Detroit and eight behind the White Sox, the Indians can't be thinking split when Chicago arrives at Jacobs Field (tomorrow-Thursday). Tuesday's matchup for ESPN (7:05 p.m.) is delicious: C.C. Sabathia (4-1, 1.52 ERA) vs. Mark Buehrle (6-2, 0 ER in past 21 innings).
Who's winning? Fans have been voting for their favorite All-Stars for better than a month. The first precincts report Tuesday (National League) and Wednesday (American).
