The Pittsburgh Pirates officially introduced Frank Coonelly as the club's new president Thursday at PNC Park.

The Philadelphia native and Penn State graduate Coonelly brings an ambitious agenda to the Pirates though he faces an uphill climb in trying to right a team and energize a fanbase that has suffered through 15 consecutive losing seasons.
Coonelly sat Thursday to answer questions with Post-Gazette Pirates beat writers Dejan Kovacevic, Paul Meyer and sports columnist Bob Smizik.
