Pirates prospect Tabata to miss 4-6 weeks

Jose Tabata, one of the Pirates' top prospects, will miss 4-6 weeks because of a strained right hamstring, director of player development Kyle Stark said tonight.
Tabata, a 20-year-old center fielder for Class AA Altoona, is batting .250 with three doubles and six RBIs in a slow opening 16 games for the Curve. He was injured while running down the first-base line in a game last night in Reading, Pa.
