McCutchen finishes Derby with four home runs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Andrew McCutchen did not win the Home Run Derby tonight.
He was just glad he was able to hit one.
"You've got no cage above you, there are cameras all in front of you, you've got 40,000-plus people all screaming. It's different," he said. "When I got that first one out of the way I was like 'Ahh, OK. I can relax now.'"
McCutchen finished with four home runs and was one home run shy of advancing to the second round.
Detroit Tigers slugger Prince Fielder won his second derby crown, blasting 12 homers in the championship round to take down former Pirate Jose Bautista, now with the Toronto Blue Jays, who hit seven.
McCutchen was the first Pirate since Jason Bay in 2005 to compete in the derby, and he said he was glad he did it.
"It could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," he said.
