Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins affiliate signs five players

The Penguins' top affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, has signed five eligible players to American Hockey League contracts.

Forward Eric Tangradi, defensemen Robert Bortuzzo, Brian Strait, and goaltenders Brad Thiessen and Jeff Zatkoff can play in the AHL during the ongoing NHL lockout. Wilkes-Barre training camp begins Friday.
