Schedule set for Penguins-Flyers playoff series

The Penguins' first-round playoff series against Philadelphia will begin Wednesday at 7:38 p.m. at Consol Energy Center and will be shown nationally by NBC Sports Network and locally by Root Sports.

The NHL released the full schedule and national television grid for the first round this afternoon.

The series features at least one Sunday afternoon NBC game and two days off between Games 3 and 4.

The schedule:

• Game 1, Wednesday, April 11, 7:38 p.m., Consol Energy Center, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports

• Game 2, Friday, April 13, 7:38 p.m., Consol Energy Center, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports

• Game 3, Sunday, April 15, 3:08 p.m., Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, NBC

• Game 4, Wednesday, April 18, 7:38 p.m., Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports

• Game 5, Friday, April 20, 7:38 p.m., Consol Energy Center, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports (if necessary)

• Game 6, Sunday, April 22, time and TV to be determined, Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia (if necessary)

• Game 7, Tuesday, April 24, time and TV to be determined, Consol Energy Center (if necessary)
