The Penguins have recalled defenseman Brian Strait from their farm team in Wilkes-Barre.

The move presumably stems from an unspecified injury defenseman Matt Niskanen got when he was hit late in the second period of the Penguins' 5-3 victory Tuesday night in Boston.

Strait has one assist in seven NHL games this season.
