Penguins' Next Opponent: New York Rangers

After waiting six days, the Penguins learned their second-round playoff opponent last night. It will be Jaromir Jagr and the New York Rangers. That was determined when Philadelphia beat Washington, 3-2, in overtime to win Game 7 of their first-round series.
Game 1 will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Mellon Arena and be televised on Versus. Game 2 will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mellon Arena be televised by NBC (WPXI-Ch. 11).
This will be the first time Jagr has faced his former team in the playoffs. The Rangers have been waiting to learn their opponent since Friday, when they eliminated New Jersey. The Penguins swept Ottawa in the first round.
The Penguins were 3-3-2 against the Rangers in the regular season, 0-3-1 at Madison Square Garden.
