Penguins center Evgeni Malkin will be medically evaluated before tonight's home game against Tampa Bay, coach Dan Bylsma said this morning.

Malkin's back and head slammed into the end boards at Consol Energy Center during a game Friday night.

Bylsma said that a concussion has not been ruled out but Malkin has not had headaches or disorientation, potential indications of a concussion.

Fellow Penguins center Sidney Crosby said that, "From what I heard, he's feeling better today, so that's good."

Malkin previously was ruled out for tonight's game.
