Penguins acquire defenseman Brookbank from Bruins

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired defenseman Wade Brookbank from the Boston Bruins today for future considerations and assigned him to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

The 28-year-old Brookbank had one goal and 15 penalty minutes in seven games with Boston this season. He had one goal and two assists in a career-high 32 games for Vancouver last season.

Brookbank has four goals and two assists in 68 career games with the Bruins, Canucks and Nashville Predators.
