No reunion: Kostopoulos claimed from Penguins by New Jersey

The Penguins have lost winger Tom Kostopoulos, one day after signing him to a one-year, two-way contract. He needed to be placed on waivers to be assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, and the New Jersey Devils today claimed him off of waivers.

Kostopoulos, 34, played for the Penguins between 2001-04, putting up 10 goals and 16 assists in in 79 regular-season games. He was the Penguins' seventh-round choice in 1999 and also has played for Los Angeles, Montreal, Carolina and Calgary.

Kostopoulos had been playing with the Wilkes-Barre on a tryout contract. He had three goals and four assists in 17 games.
