NHL cancels games through November

The National Hockey League has canceled all of its games for the month of November, pushing the total of games lost in its lockout to 326.
The lockout shut down the league beginning in mid-September. Owners and the NHL Players' Association have been unable to agree on the major financial issues that would be part of a collective bargaining agreement.
There have been no negotiations for the past week. None are scheduled.
The original schedule for the 2012-13 season had the Penguins playing 14 games in November, including seven at Consol Energy Center.
They were supposed to play nine, four of them at home, in October.
League officials have said repeatedly that a full, 82-game schedule would not be possible unless a deal was reached by Thursday, which obviously did not happen.
The NHL's announcement did not mention any changes to the status of two of its high-profile events.
The Winter Classic is set for Jan. 1 in Ann Arbor, Mich. The All-Star Game is set for Jan. 27 in Columbus, Ohio.
