76ers spoil Kobe's night

Lou Williams nailed the go-ahead 3-pointer, scored 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, and dampened Kobe Bryant's record-setting game while leading the Philadelphia 76ers to 95-90 win against the Los Angeles Lakers Monday night.
With "Beat L.A.!" echoing through a second consecutive sellout crowd for Philadelphia, Williams hit the tying jumper, then followed with the 3 for a 91-88 lead. He hit another floater to make it 93-88, part of a fantastic fourth that saw him hold off Bryant and help the 76ers improve to 13-3 at home.
Bryant scored 24 of his 28 points in the first half. He passed former teammate Shaquille O'Neal and moved into fifth place on the NBA's career scoring list.
Bryant got 24 points in a hurry to pass O'Neal, but stumbled down the stretch and missed nine of his 10 shots in the fourth.
Andrew Bynum had 20 points and 20 rebounds for the Lakers. Pau Gasol had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
• Suns 99, Hawks 90: Steve Nash scored 24 points and visiting Phoenix broke open a close game with a 24-6 run to close the third quarter and beat Atlanta. Nash, whose 38th birthday is today, had 11 assists and shot 9 of 12 -- including each of his four 3-pointers.
• Bulls 109, Nets 87: Carlos Boozer scored 24 points and Chicago won at New Jersey. Luol Deng scored 19 points and C.J. Watson added 14 points and 10 assists for the Bulls, who improved to 4-2 six games into a nine-game road trip.
• Knicks 99, Jazz 88: Jeremy Lin scored a career-high 28 points in his first career start, Steve Novak added a season-best 19, and New York beat visiting Utah.
• Wizards 111, Raptors 108: John Wall scored 31 points, Nick Young had a season-high 29 and Trevor Booker added a season-high 19 as host Washington blew an 18-point, third-quarter lead then hung on to beat Toronto in overtime.
• Clippers 107, Magic 102: Chris Paul scored 29 points, including 11 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and visiting Los Angeles slipped by Orlando.
• Kings 100, Hornets 92: DeMarcus Cousins had 28 points and 19 rebounds, and visiting Sacramento erased an 18-point deficit en route to a victory against slumping New Orleans.
• Spurs 89, Grizzlies 84: Tony Parker scored 21 points, and Tim Duncan added 19 points and 17 rebounds to lead visiting San Antonio to a victory against Memphis. Duncan scored 13 of his points in the second half.
• Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown has been suspended one game without pay and fined $25,000 for making contact with a game official and failure to leave the court in a timely manner after his ejection in Saturday's game. ... Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been suspended two games for stomping on Houston Rockets forward Luis Scola's face in their game Saturday. ... Hazell Stoudemire, 35, a brother of New York Knicks star Amare Stoudemire, died in a Florida car crash Monday after the SUV he was driving slammed into the back of a trailer. Amare Stoudemire has returned to Florida to be with his family.
