U.S. men tie Russia in soccer

Mix Diskerud scored his first international goal in the third minute of injury time, giving the United States a 2-2 tie against Russia Wednesday in an exhibition game at Krasnodar.
Michael Bradley, who scored in the 76th minute, sent a long ball into the penalty area toward Terrence Boyd, who was battling defender Sergei Ignashevich. The ball rebounded off Ignashevich to Diskerud, who had entered in the 87th minute. He bounced a 20-yard, right-footed shot in off a hand of goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov.
Germany governing body said its national team will play an exhibition match May 29 against the United States as part of a two-game tour, a match that will pit Juergen Klinsmann against former assistant Joachim Loew. The venue has yet to be determined. Germany will play a second exhibition in the United States June 2 against an unidentified opponent.
The owner of a leading tennis academy in Spain that trained some of the sport's stars said its players have stopped working with a doctor banned by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for helping riders on Lance Armstrong's cycling team dope. Pancho Alvarino said the relationship between his TenisVal academy and Dr. Luis Garcia del Moral "started approximately 14-15 years ago." That overlaps with del Moral's work for the U.S. Postal Service cycling team.
Roush Fenway Racing is making more changes to its crew chief lineup, moving veteran Jimmy Fennig to work with Carl Edwards next season.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is returning to Bermuda for the next year. The 36-hole tournament for the year's four major champions again will be played at Port Royal Golf Course Oct. 15-16. It has been held in Bermuda since 2007 after leaving Hawaii.
