Ronnie Shipman, 13, of Reserve, shot his first buck, an eight-point, while archery hunting Oct. 12. Not to be outdone, his brother Stephen Shipman, 11, nailed his first shot at a buck a week later while bow hunting under the Mentored Youth Hunting Program. Dad Ron Shipman took an eight-point from the same tree stand.
