WPIAL Team Tennis Tournament: Quaker Valley edges rival Sewickley for AA crown

After splitting two regular-season meetings with section rival Sewickley Academy, Quaker Valley won the rematch, 3-2, Friday to take the WPIAL Class AA team tournament.
Quaker Valley got wins from No. 1 singles player and two-time WPIAL singles champion Spencer Caravaggio, No. 3 singles player Farrah Bojalad and the No. 2 doubles pairing of Connor Hamilton and Isabella Hubsch to clinch the title.
Sewickley, who beat Quaker Valley to win the 2011 WPIAL tournament on its way to a PIAA title, got wins Friday from Sydney Miggantz at No. 2 singles and Amy Cheng and Riley Roberts at No. 1 doubles.
In Class AA consolation final, Ellis School defeated South Park, 4-1, to secure the final PIAA berth.
