On a crisp November night, a capacity crowd descended upon Chartiers Valley High School prepared for a show, there to see two of the WPIAL's top offensive teams on full display in a game loaded with palpable pressure.

Ultimately, Washington running back Shai McKenzie turned in one of his best performances of the season, scoring all four of his team's touchdowns to lift the Prexies to the Class AA championship with a 26-14 victory over South Fayette.

McKenzie rushed for 293 yards on 39 carries, with Washington gaining nearly 400 yards on the ground. The Prexies defense held a South Fayette offense that entered the game averaging over 49 points to a season-low 14 points.

Washington, which went 1-8 as recently as 2008, will play the winner of the Aliquippa-Jeannette game in the Class AA championship at Heinz Field next Friday.
