No. 1 North Allegheny Tigers cruise to win against Bethel Park

Mack Leftwich threw two touchdown passes and ran for a third score as top-seeded North Allegheny defeated Bethel Park, 42-14, in a WPIAL Class AAAA quarterfinal game at North Hills.

The 11-0 Tigers have defeated 27 WPIAL Class AAAA opponents in a row.

Leftwich, who completed 11 of 14 passes for 132 yards, connected with Brendan Coniker and Gregg Garrity on scoring plays of 12 and 20 yards.

Leftwich, the Tigers leading rusher with 91 yards on 12 carries, rushed 1 yard for a touchdown. Teammates Alex DiCiantis and Josh Bergman scored on runs of 3 and 17 yards.

Elijah Zeise blocked a Bethel Park punt and returned it 7 yards for another Tigers score.

Alex Minton ran 5 yards for one touchdown, and Levi Metheny rushed 7 yards for the Blackhawks' other score. Metheny completed 15 of 20 passes for 130 yards. Bethel Park finished 7-4.
