PIAA Quarterfinals: Clairton crushes Berlin Brothersvalley, 53-0

SOMERSET -- Tyler Boyd broke the WPIAL career touchdown record and Clairton extended its state-record winning streak to 61 games with a 53-0 victory over Berlin Brothersvalley in the PIAA Class A quarterfinals Friday at Somerset High School.

Boyd rushed for 227 yards and scored five touchdowns for 13-0 Clairton. The senior has 114 touchdowns, four more than Hopewell's Russell Shell scored from 2008 to 2011. He also moved up the WPIAL career rushing ladder with 5,529.
