Storm threat cancels WPIAL baseball championships

Two WPIAL baseball championships have been postponed today because of the threat of severe thunderstorms.

The Class AA and AAA championships at Consol Energy Field in North Franklin will be played Wednesday and Thursday at Consol.

The Class AA game between Ellwood City and Riverside will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The Class AAA game between Blackhawk and Belle Vernon will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Two other WPIAL title games are still scheduled for Wednesday. The Class A game between Neshannock and California is at 5:30 p.m., and the AAAA final between Mt. Lebanon and Seneca Valley is at 8 p.m..
