Last week: A sophomore goalkeeper Dailey was in net for the Planets in their 1-0 win against Villa Joseph Marie in the PIAA Class AA championship match Friday in Hershey. Dailey made 10 saves, helping to lead Mars to its first PIAA soccer title.

Check this out: Dailey only began playing soccer three years ago and she was in her first season as a starter at the varsity level. But she had 19 shutouts and allowed only eight goals in playing every game for Mars (25-0-1) this season.

• Did you and your teammates view yourselves as underdogs against a team with the reputation such as Villa Joseph Marie? Going into the game, yeah, we were probably the underdog, unlike most of the other games throughout the season. So we knew we had to go in with everything we had and leave it all out there.

• What was it like over the final minutes when you had the lead and Villa Joseph Marie was pressing hard? It was really nerve-racking in the last 20 minutes when they were pushing and giving everything and coming at us. I knew all the other girls were working hard, so I had to do my job and work hard, too, and stop any shots that got through.

• What are you doing with the gold medal you got from the PIAA? I have the medal at home in its case right now on my shelf.

• Your team scored at least seven goals in all but five regular-season games this season. What's that like for a goalie? At points, it can get boring, but I have to keep my concentration in the unlikely case something fluky happens.

? Do you have any chores around the house? Feed the dog and do the dishwashing, do the laundry occasionally.
