We got a lot of positive feedback last year when we recapped the 2006-07 season in this fashion so we figured doing it again would be a swell idea as well. This is a game-by-game look at the Penguins' 2007-08 season through the magic of YouTube.

Regular Season
Oct. 5 -- Hurricanes 4, Penguins 1. While the season starts off on a bad note, Mark Recchi does kick off his campaign on an 82-goal scoring pace.
Oct. 6 -- Penguins 5, Ducks 4. Introducing Petr Sykora. Colby Armstrong scores a rather nifty goal.
Oct. 10 -- Canadiens 3, Penguins 2. Habs goaltender Carey Price shows that he's the real deal.
Oct. 13 -- Penguins 6, Maple Leafs 4. Sidney Crosby and Maxime Talbot each score two goals. Vesa Toskala made 46 saves and lost.
Oct. 17 -- Devils 5, Penguins 4. Remember when the Devils were a boring defensive team? Marc-Andre Fleury has a rough game.
Oct. 19 -- Penguins 4, Hurricanes 3. The Penguins stage two comebacks before claiming the game in a shootout.
Oct. 20 -- Penguins 2, Capitals 1. Jordan Staal gets a goal and fighting major in a "home" win at Washington.
Oct. 23 -- Penguins 1, Rangers 0. Marc-Andre Fleury makes 36 saves in what might've been the most boring game of the season.
Oct. 25 -- Maple Leafs 5, Penguins 2. Maple Leafs rookie Jiri Tlusty scores his first two career goals as Toronto scores four unanswered goals in third period.
Oct. 27 -- Canadiens 4, Penguins 3. The Tyler Kennedy era begins with a shootout loss to the Habs.
Oct. 30 -- Penguins 4, Wild 2. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin light it up in a boring win against the Wild.
Nov. 1 -- Avalanche 3, Penguins 2. Despite an early the Penguins claiming an early lead on goals by Sidney Crosby, the Avs comeback for a home win.
Nov. 3 -- Islanders 3, Penguins 2. Miroslav Satan scores twice in a "win" for Al Arbour.
Nov. 5 -- Penguins 5, Devils 0. Sidney Crsoby gets two goals as the Penguins embarrass the Devils.
Nov. 7 -- Flyers 3, Penguins 1. The Penguins' hopes for a second consecutive season sweep of the Flyers are quickly dashed.
Nov. 8 -- Rangers 4, Penguins 2. Mark Recchi scored what was likely his last career goal with the Penguins in a poor loss to the Rangers.
Nov. 10 -- Flyers 5, Penguins 2. The Flyers are the team who look like they'll get a season sweep as Kimmo Timonen rips apart the Penguins for four points.
Nov. 12 -- Devils 3, Penguins 2. The Penguins claim last place in the Atlantic Division with their fourth loss in a row.
Nov. 15 -- Penguins 3, Islanders 2. The Kris Letang era begins (again) and Georges Laraque gets the game-winner.
Nov. 17 -- Rangers 4, Penguins 3. The Rangers get all their offense from the blue line in an overtime win at Mellon Arena.
Nov. 21 -- Devils 2, Penguins 1. If you weren't already drinking the night before Thanksgiving, this game probably forced you to the bar.
Nov. 22 -- Penguins 6, Senators 5. Clearly when your team is mired in a funk, the prescription to remedy that is to get into a shootout win against the powerful Senators. Jarkko Ruutu delivers the game-winner.
Nov. 24 -- Penguins 5, Thrashers 0. Despite having Evgeni Malkin's 15-game scoring streak snapped, the Penguins spanked the Thrashers.
Nov. 30 -- Penguins 4, Stars 1. Two goals by Sidney Crosby lead to a win against a solid Stars team.
Dec. 1 -- Maple Leafs 4, Penguins 2. The Penguins get goals from Erik Christensen and Ryan Malone, but their comeback attempt falls short.
Dec. 3 -- Penguins 3, Coyotes 1. Despite another sluggish effort, the Penguins top the Coyotes on Mark Recchi bobblehead night.
Dec. 5 -- Penguins 3, Oilers 2. The first leg of Sidney Crosby's first trip to Western Canada as a professional sees him pick up three assists in a win at Edmonton.
Dec. 6 -- Penguins 3, Flames 2. Kris Letang seals it with a winning shootout goal. Marc-Andre Fleury suffers a high-ankle sprain.
Dec. 8 -- Penguins 2, Canucks 1. Letang shows he's the real deal as he gets his second winning shootout goal in as many games and the Penguins claim a thrilling win.
Dec. 11 -- Flyers 8, Penguins 2. Even with Gary Roberts teaching Ben Eager a lesson, this might've been the darkest point of the season.
Dec. 14 -- Senators 4, Penguins 1. Martin Gerber stops 402 shots by Sidney Crosby in a win at Mellon Arena.
Dec. 15 -- Penguins 3, Islanders 2. Tyler Kennedy figures in on all three of the Penguins' goals. Chris Simon tries to amputate Jarkko Ruutu's foot.
Dec. 18 -- Rangers 4, Penguins 0. This might've been the Penguins' worst effort of the season.
Dec. 20 -- Penguins 5, Bruins 4. Introducing Ty Conklin. Sidney Crosby gets into his first career fight.
Dec. 21 - Islanders 4, Penguins 2. The Penguins lose their 10th game of the season to an Atlantic Division opponent.
Dec. 23 -- Penguins 4, Bruins 2. Mark Eaton suffers a serious injury in a win at home. Sergei Gonchar gets his 400th career assist.
Dec. 27 -- Penguins 4, Capitals 3. After two turnovers that lead to Washington goals, Sergei Gonchar scores the winning goal in overtime.
Dec. 29 -- Penguins 2, Sabres 0. Gary Roberts breaks his leg. The price of oil doubles overnight.
Jan 1 -- Penguins 2, Sabres 1. Sidney Crosby scores a shootout goal to win some game they played outside or something.
Jan 3 -- Penguins 6, Maple Leafs 2. Evgeni Malkin records his first career hat trick. Jarkko Ruutu > Darcy Tucker.
Jan 5 -- Penguins 3, Panthers 0. Ty Conklin gets his second shutout in four games.
Jan 8 -- Penguins 3, Panthers 1. Conklin runs his record to 8-0-0.
Jan 10 -- Penguins 4, Lightning 1. The Penguins win their eighth consecutive game. Conklin makes the save of the regular season.
Jan 12 -- Thrashers 3, Penguins 2. Mark Recchi gets his revenge against the Penguins.
Jan 14 -- Penguins 4, Rangers 1. Denied a spot in the All-Star Game, Evgeni Malkin shows why that was a mistake.
Jan 18 -- Lightning 3, Penguins 0. Sidney Crosby suffers a high ankle sprain.
Jan. 19 -- Penguins 2, Canadiens 0. The Penguins show they can play without Crosby.
Jan 21 -- Capitals 6, Penguins 5. The Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin show.
Jan. 24 -- Flyers 4, Penguins 3. The Penguins lose their fourth consecutive game of the season to the Flyers.
Jan 29 -- Penguins 4, Devils 2. How bad was the Penguins' injury situation? Brook Orpik played left win in this game. Ryan Malone scored two goals in a gutsy win.
Jan 30 -- Thrashers 4, Penguins 1. Jarkko Ruutu injures Ilya Kovalchuk on an ugly check.
Feb 2 -- Penguins 4, Hurricanes 1. The Staals are brothers.
Feb 4 -- Devils 4, Penguins 3. The Penguins collapse late in an overtime loss at New Jersey. Despite the loss, the Penguins claim a share of first place in the Atlantic Division.
Feb. 7 -- Penguins 4, Islanders 3. A new Kris Beech era dawns. Ryan Whitney gets called out by Michel Therrien and responds with two goals and an assist.
Feb. 9 -- Penguins 4, Kings 2. Evgeni Malkin's parents come to town and he scores three points.
Feb. 10 -- Penguins 4, Flyers 3. Malkin's Hart Trophy campaign unofficially begins as he contributes to all four of the Penguins' goals and leads the team to its first win against the Flyers this season.
Feb. 13 -- Bruins 2, Penguins 1. In a bad loss to the Bruins, Ty Conklin makes two spectacular saves.
Feb. 14 -- Hurricanes 4, Penguins 2. Dany Sabourin makes 42 saves, but the Penguins fall in Raleigh. Kris Beech breaks his wrist.
Feb. 18 -- Penguins 4, Sabres 1. Ty Conklin makes 36 saves and the Penguins win their first game inside some sort of structure in Western New York in 2008.
Feb. 19 -- Penguins 3, Panthers 2. Ryan Malone scores two third period goals and helps the Penguins stage a late comeback win. Evgeni Malkin claims the lead in the scoring race from Alex Ovechkin.
Feb. 21 -- Penguins 5, Canadiens 4. Sergei Gonchar records his 600th career point in a thrilling comeback win.
Feb. 23 -- Senators 4, Penguins 3. The Penguins blow a 3-0 lead to the Senators and fall in overtime.
Feb. 24 -- Sharks 2, Penguins 1. A Zamboni dies and the Penguins lose to the Sharks in a shootout. The Penguins won't lose another game at home for over three months. This would also be the last time we see Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen wear Penguins jerseys.
Feb. 26 -- Penguins 4, Islanders 2. The day the franchise made some dramatic changes prior to the trade deadline, Ty Conklin stops 232 shots in a win on Long Island. Connor James gets smashed by Rob Davison.
Feb. 28 -- Bruins 5, Penguins 1. Introducing Pascal Dupuis, Hal Gill and Marian Hossa. Hossa gets injured after 10 minutes of playing time. Gill looks like Derian Hatcher. Dupuis gets hit more than Connor James. Hopefully Ray Shero hung on to that receipt.
March 1 -- Senators 5, Penguins 4. Evgeni Malkin gets a goal and two assists in a wide-open loss in Ottawa.
March 2 -- Penguins 3, Thrashers 2. Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen and Mark Recchi play at Mellon Arena for the first time as visitors this season. Marc-Andre Fleury makes his first start in three months.
March 4 -- Penguins 2, Lightning 0. Sidney Crosby returns to the lineup and records an assist.
March 6 -- Panthers 5, Penguins 2. Four Panthers get a two points each as the Panthers outwork the Penguins for a home win.
March 9 -- Penguins 4, Capitals 2. Nicklas Backstrom's "goal" leads the Penguins to a "home" win.
March 12 -- Penguins 7, Sabres 3. Tyler Kennedy gets three points as the Penguins rout the Sabres despite a depleted lineup. Sidney Crosby rests his ankle.
March 16 -- Penguins 7, Flyers 1. Evgeni Malkin and Petr Sykora each record four points in a rout of the Flyers. Marian Hossa returns to the lineup.
March 18 -- Rangers 5, Penguins 2. Sean Avery gets two goals as Ty Conklin comes back to earth in a sloppy loss to the Rangers.
March 20 -- Penguins 4, Lightning 2. RUUUUUUU!!!!!!
March 22 -- Penguins 7, Devils 1. Evgeni Malkin and Petr Sykora each record three points in a rout of the Devils and claim first place in the Atlantic Division.
March 24 -- Islanders 4, Penguins 1. Bill Guerin leads an injury-depleted Islanders team to a win against the Penguins who fail to clinch a playoff spot. Ty Conklin plays his last game as a Penguin probably.
March 25 -- Penguins 2, Devils 0. Marc-Andre Fleury makes 31 saves and the Penguins grind out a win that clinches a playoff berth.
March 27 -- Penguins 3, Islanders 1. Sidney Crosby and Marian Hossa finally play together, but Georges Laraque and Jarkko Ruutu are the pair that beats the Islanders.
March 30 -- Penguins 3, Rangers 1. Jaromir Jagr plays perhaps his final regular season game at Mellon Arena.
March 31 -- Rangers 2, Penguins 1. Chris Drury's overtime goal gives the Rangers a home win.
April 2 -- Penguins 4, Flyers 2. Sidney Crosby gets two goals and an assist and leads the Penguins to a win which clinches their first division title in a decade. Georges Laraque sends Riley Cote's helmet into orbit.
April 6 -- Flyers 2, Penguins 0. Gary Roberts returns but the Penguins put about as much effort into this game as Heather Bresch did with her MBA from West Virginia and fall to the Flyers.
POSTSEASON
April 9 -- Penguins 4, Senators 0. Gary Roberts scores two goals and the Penguins start the playoffs with a convincing home win. Roberts gets dragged off the ice as he challenges the entire Senators team at once:
April 11 -- Penguins 5, Senators 3. Ryan Malone's goal with just over a minute left in regulation gives the Penguins a win.
April 14 -- Penguins 4, Senators 1. Even with Daniel Alfredsson's return to the lineup, the Senators can't overcome Marian Hossa's three points.
April 16 -- Penguins 3, Senators 1. Sidney Crosby gets a goal and an assist and leads the Penguins to a 3-1 win in Ottawa. They get their first playoff sweep since 1992
April 25 -- Penguins 5, Rangers 4. Evgeni Malkin's late goal gives the Penguins a thrilling win at home.
April 27 -- Penguins 2, Rangers 0. Marc-Andre Fleury makes 26 saves and leads the Penguins to a shutout win.
April 29 -- Penguins 5, Rangers 3. Three points Evgeni Malkin and some superb penalty killing moves the Penguins within a game of their second consecutive playoff sweep.
May 1 -- Rangers 3, Penguins 0. Jaromir Jagr wills his team to a win and the Penguins taste defeat in the postseason for the first time.
May 4 -- Penguins 3, Rangers 2. Remember when Marian Hossa wasn't a playoff performer?
May 9 -- Penguins 4, Flyers 2. Two goals by Evgeni Malkin lead to another series-opening win.
May 11 -- Penguins 4, Flyers 2. Maxime Talbot returns to the lineup after suffering a broken foot and scores the game-winning goal.
May 13 -- Penguins 4, Flyers 1. Marian Hossa scores twice and rekindles memories of 1975.
May 15 -- Flyers 4, Penguins 2. The Flyers hold off elimination as Joffrey Lupul collects two goals.
May 18 -- Penguins 6, Flyers 0. The Penguins move on to the Stanley Cup final for the first time in 16 years.
May 24 -- Red Wings 4, Penguins 0. The final doesn't start off so well for the Penguins as Mikael Samuelsson gets his revenge.
May 26 -- Red Wings 3, Penguins 0. Chris Osgood records his second consecutive shutout as the Penguins fall into a 2-0 hole.
May 28 -- Penguins 3, Red Wings 2. Sidney Crosby scores twice leading his team to a physical win. Brooks Orpik has "The Shift."
May 31 -- Red Wings 2, Penguins 1. The Penguins fail to convert a crucial two-man advantage and Henrik Zetterberg all but secures the Conn Smythe Trophy.
June 2 -- Penguins 4, Red Wings 3. Some day, they'll make a another DVD set full of the Penguins' ten best games of all time. They could sell one just on this game alone.
June 4 -- Red Wings 3, Penguins 2. Oh so close. The Penguins lose the Cup, but they take a step in the right direction.

-Predators investor and would-be Penguins owner William "Boots" Del Biaggio owes money to just about everyone on earth.
Northwest Division
-Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf will be the cover boy for NHL 09.
Pacific Division
-Know your Sharks captains.
Smythe Division
-If you want to make some money in the NHL, be a puck-moving defenseman.
-Mondesi's House put together a playlist dedicated to the NHL playoffs.
