Sean Johnson led all scorers with 16 points, two newcomers added 13 apiece and Duquesne never trailed as it cruised to a 92-46 exhibition victory against Division II Hawaii-Hilo Sunday at the Palumbo Center.

Johnson, a senior guard and the team's leading returning scorer, made four 3-pointers for the Dukes in their final tuneup before the regular season begins.

Sophomore point guard Marvin Binney, a junior college transfer, and freshman guard Jeremiah Jones each scored 13 points. Binney made all three of his attempts from 3-point range, grabbed six rebounds and led Duquesne with six assists.

The Dukes, who led 43-27 at halftime, had 17 turnovers but outrebounded the Vulcans, 54-34. As a team, they shot 33 of 63 (52.4 percent) from the floor.

Duquesne and first-year coach Jim Ferry will open the regular season Friday night at Albany.
