The PG's gridiron guru makes his pick on who will hoist the Lombardi Trophy come Sunday night ...
Last week: 2-0 (1.000)
Season record: 179-87 (.673)New England Patriots (15-3) vs. New York Giants (12-7), 6:20 p.m.
The Skinny: Teams seeking revenge for a previous Super Bowl loss don't always find it, just ask the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. But the Patriots, who lost to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII, are hoping to disprove that slice of history four years later.
But, the Giants defense has been the real star of the postseason -- shutting out the Falcons, clamping down on the high-powered Packers and outlasting the defensive-minded 49ers. And, make no mistake, they will create more pressure on Tom Brady than the Patriots are capable of generating on Eli Manning.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Since they rallied to beat the Cowboys on Dec. 11, the Giants are the best team in football.
Prediction: Giants, 34-24
