Gerry Dulac's NFL Forecast: Super Bowl XLII
Share with others:
Title games: 2-0
Season: 164-102 (.616)
New England Patriots (18-0) vs. New York Giants (13-6)
6:17 p.m. kickoff, University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Ariz.
The Giants, who are 10-1 on the road, get a second chance to end the Patriots' unbeaten season, only this time the stakes carry an added prize -- the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Since their 38-35 defeat to New England to end the regular season, the Giants have been, well, giant-killers, beating a division champ and the top two seeds in the NFC. But the Patriots will not let this opportunity pass without one last shining moment of greatness. Like Tiger Woods, they will not only accomplish what nobody really thought possible, they will do so with a dominating display that will cap off a perfect season. Great teams do great things on big stages.
Prediction: Patriots, 41-10
