Robert Morris rallies from halftime deficit to win 67-62

Lucky Jones scored 17 points and Anthony Myers had 15, leading Robert Morris to a Northeast Conference victory against Mount St. Mary's, 67-62, Saturday in Emmitsburg, Md.
The game was close throughout, but the Colonials (17-8, 8-4 NEC) rallied from a five-point halftime deficit and outscored the Mountaineers, 39-29, in the second half to secure the win.
The contest was tied, 59-59, with two minutes to play, but Lijah Thompson scored on a layup after a timeout and Myers went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line down the stretch for Robert Morris.
The Colonials outshot Mount St. Mary's from the floor, 53.3 percent (24 of 45) to 39.1 percent (18 of 46).
Velton Jones, who made the Colonials' final two free throws, finished with 10 points. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Robert Morris.
Julian Norfleet led the Mountaineers (6-17, 4-8) with 23 points.
• Iowa 77, Penn State 64: Bryce Cartwright scored 17 points with five assists and only one turnover as the Hawkeyes (13-11, 5-6 Big Ten) defeated the visiting Nittany Lions (10-14, 2-9), who have lost four in a row and seven of their past eight. Tim Frazier scored 23 points for Penn State. Penn State trailed by as many as 26 points in the second half before trimming the deficit to 50-36 with 13:25 left thanks to uncharacteristic outside shooting. The Nittany Lions -- the worst 3-point-shooting team in the Big Ten -- hit 8 of 16 from the perimeter in the second half. Penn State cut Iowa's lead to 67-55 with 3:28 left, but the Hawkeyes held their ground again.
• West Virginia 66, Louisville 50: Asya Bussie scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead West Virginia to the home victory against No. 14 Louisville in Big East action. Linda Stepney added 14 points, Christal Caldwell had 12 and Ayana Dunning 11 for West Virginia (17-6, 7-3 Big East). Shoni Schimmel scored 16 points for Louisville (17-6, 6-4). Antonita Slaughter chipped in with 14 off the bench for the Cardinals.
• Robert Morris 55, Wagner 38: The Colonials, 12-10 overall, upped their Northeast Conference record to 6-5 with the win at the Spiro Sports Center on Staten Island, N.Y. The Colonials forced Wagner (2-20, 1-10) into 32 turnovers and came up with 16 steals in the victory. Sophomore forward Artemis Spanou paced Robert Morris with 18 points and Briannica Tye added 16 points. It was the 15th consecutive loss for Wagner.
