Mike Kosky of South Fayette knows something about winning NHRA national events at the famed Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, Pa.
Kosky, a 69-year-old retired mechanic, is the defending Top Alcohol Dragster champion of the Auto Plus Nationals, scheduled for Oct. 5-7, and a three-time winner of the event.
"Racing at Maple Grove, we know the track pretty well and we know how to set the car up for the track." Kosky said. "We like the track. We're the only three-time Alcohol Dragster winner there, and what is ironic about that is we won with three different makes of engines [Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Chrysler]."
