Swissvale chef 3rd on 'Hell's Kitchen'
Talent and a little scheming were not enough for Elise Wims, the Swissvale chef who became the summer's breakout personality on the Fox reality cooking show, "Hell's Kitchen."
Ms. Wims, 27, finished third in Monday night's season finale. Four contestants were left at the start of the show, and after Ms. Wims' departure, Will Lustburg of Jersey City, N.J., and Paul Niedermann of Davie, Fla., were left to vie for first prize: the top chef job at BLT Steak in New York City.
Mr. Niedermann, with the help of Ms. Wims on his team for the final service, was the winner.
"I've never met anyone so resilient in all my years, as you," Gordon Ramsay told Ms. Wims, giving her a hug as she left. Mr. Ramsay is host and sole arbiter of who goes and who stays on "Hell's Kitchen."
"After 'Hell's Kitchen,' I'm prepared for any obstacle that comes my way, because nothing can be harder than this," Ms. Wims said.
