Little Suri had fun with face painting and a wagon ride recently when parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took her to Soergel Orchards in Franklin Park for its annual fall festival. Dad's here to film the action thriller "One Shot," through early January. So what else is there for 5-year-old Suri to do as she hangs out in the 'Burgh?

Here are some suggestions:

• Visit Idlewild in Ligonier for HallowBoo weekends through Oct. 23 -- Trick-or-treat in Storybook Forest, explore the Hay Bale Maze and watch Boo-dlebop zombies at the Hillside Theatre.

• Sip hot cocoa with homemade cookies and marshmallows at the Inn on Negley in Shadyside.

• Climb, play with water, dress up and spend hours in the artist's studio at the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. Its "Mister Rogers Neighborhood" exhibit is closed for renovation, but Mr. Rogers' statue holds court nearby on the North Shore.

• Collect candy and watch the animals eat pumpkins at Zoo Boo at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, Oct. 22-23 and Oct. 29-30.

• Get a sprinkling of pixie dust at the Benedum when the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre performs "Peter Pan" Oct. 28-30. "The Nutcracker" follows from Dec. 2-23.

• Go back in time at Klavon's authentic ice cream parlor in the Strip. Order a Tin Ceiling Sundae, a Float the Three Rivers or Old-Fashioned Malt, plus all the penny candy you want.

• Learn to ice skate at The Rink at PPG Place, Downtown.

• Accompany mom on a shopping excursion to the funky boutiques in Lawrenceville and South Side.

• Take flight at Owl-o-ween at the Pittsburgh National Aviary for a costume contest, storytelling, crafts, photo opportunity with Barkley, the Eastern screech owl, and appearances by the Madagascar hissing cockroaches. (Oct. 22).
