Over the past year, the photography staff of the Post-Gazette captured not just the news of the day but other moments, the ones that make up our lives.
Our images range from the quiet beauty of the setting moon on a winter morning to the true beauty of three daughters greeting their father returning from Iraq. Our photos depict joy and sorrow, disappointment and delight, and -- as always -- the triumphs and failures of our sports heroes.
