To celebrate Earth Day, which is Friday, the natural skin-care company Origins is inviting customers to "trade in" any one of their existing skin-care products, regardless of brand, for an Origins high-performance, paraben-free cleanser. Customers will have the choice between two full-size products -- Checks and Balances Frothy face wash or A Perfect World Antioxidant cleanser with white tea. The offer is good while supplies last at the Origins counters at Macy's.

Through April 30, Origins will plant a tree through Global ReLeaf in honor of each customer who purchases the new Plantscription Anti-aging serum. The key ingredient in Plantscription is from the Anogeissus Tree found in the Republic of Ghana. According to clinical tests, the serum is clinically proven to have 88 percent of the visible wrinkle-reducing power of a leading prescription wrinkle ingredient without the challenging side-effects of photosensitivity, skin shedding, burning, stinging, redness, dryness, flaking and itching.

The year-round Origins Earth Initiative, the Return to Origins Recycling Program, is a cosmetics recycling program that offers consumers a place to drop off their empty cosmetic packaging -- everything from bottles, tubes, jars, deodorant sticks and compacts regardless of brand. Customers receive free samples as a thank you for participating. Since the program's launch, Origins has recycled more than 17,000 pounds of cosmetic packaging.
