• Tamari, Lawrenceville, has a new location in Marshall, which opened on Tuesday at 701 Warrendale Village Drive. It serves lunch Monday through Friday and dinner nightly; www.tamaripgh.com , 724-933-3155.
• 1947 Tavern, Shadyside, has a new executive chef, Curiel Bame, who will introduce a new and more elaborate menu this Friday. New items will include prosciutto-wrapped scallops with swiss chard and a bourbon glaze; lamb loin with buttermilk polenta, roasted tomatoes and rapini; and a seared-duck breast with braised cabbage and rissole potatoes. www.1947tavern.com , 412-363-1947.
• Habitat Restaurant at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, Downtown, has a new executive pastry chef. James Wroblewski attended the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute and held the position of sous chef at Casbah in Shadyside before his career took him farther afield.
