Journal program to post writings around city

Words -- prose and poetry -- are appearing around town starting today when the national IsReads: The Journal Outdoors project begins here.
It's part of the Small Press Festival organized this month by Open Thread. Co-sponsors of IsReads are the Gist Street Reading Series and Keyhole magazine.
Pittsburgh City Council has joined in as well, declaring last Tuesday as "Journal Outdoors Day" in a proclamation issued by Councilman William Peduto.
Gist Artistic Director Sherrie Flick said last week that the first sites and works are:
"Once on a Bus" by poet Aaron Smith, Penn Circle Station in East Liberty; "Simple Questions Concerning Hands" by poet Neno Perrotta, PPG Place, Downtown; "Without You the Skyline Isn't Worth It" by prose writer Noah Falch, near the Duquesne Incline's Mount Washington station; "Quakes, Revolutions" by poet Sophie Klahr at James Simon's sculpture studio, 305 Gist St., Uptown; and "Motel Matchbooks" by poet Colin C. Post, Peduto's City Council office door.
Other postings will be in:
The North Side; Pittsburgh International Airport; Shadyside; Lawrenceville; Homestead; Millvale; South Side; Garfield; Frick and Point Stateparks.
Pittsburgh is the third IsReads city after Baltimore and Nashville. Complete details on the installations here will be available later this week on its Web site: www.isreads.com.
