A new restaurant is coming to the Pittsburgh area this spring, one that people will surely be lining up to try. But to get a table, you'll have to buy a plane ticket.

Michael Symon, the Cleveland-based chef and restaurateur who has acquired national celebrity as a Food Network Iron Chef and co-host of "The Chew" on ABC, plans to open a restaurant at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Bar Symon Kitchen and Tap House promises creative twists on comfort food, including signature dishes from several of Mr. Symon's restaurants. The 2,500-square-foot restaurant will open in the central core of the airport terminal -- past the security checkpoints.

"We're so excited," said Jay Kruisselbrink, Airmall vice president of development, who said he was blown away by the food at Lola, Mr. Symon's flagship restaurant in downtown Cleveland.

The new location's menu will include the Lola burger, a hormone and additive-free burger topped with a fried egg and pickled onions, hand-cut french fries with Parmesan and rosemary, and several flavors of baked mac and cheese such as goat cheese, pulled chicken and rosemary.

Bar Symon, a partnership between Mr. Symon, United Concessions Group, The Paradies Group and the Airmall, will be the chef's first airport venture. If it succeeds, the concept will likely expand.

Mr. Kruisselbrink said the Airmall is pursuing other new food establishments, including some establishments with local ownership and some that will "give a nod to Western Pennsylvania and its passion for professional hockey, football and baseball."
