Gateway Center restaurant closing

Palomino Restaurant, located in the Hertz Gateway Center Downtown, will close at the conclusion of business on May 9.
Restaurants Unlimited, Inc., which owns the Palomino brand, decided not to renew the restaurant's lease, citing the difficulty of managing the restaurant from the company's Seattle headquarters.
Company spokesperson Brandon Coleman said, "We thoroughly enjoyed serving the Pittsburgh market and will always keep our eyes open for future opportunities in this area. We believe that given the right conditions it could be possible for us to successfully manage a restaurant in Pittsburgh from Seattle."
Hertz Investment Group confirmed that there are plans in place for a new restaurant, which will hopefully open later this summer.
