Jessica Mundy, 26, and Brandon Burney, 30, wed on August 20, 2011. The couple currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Q: How did you meet?
Jessica: We met at work about four years ago. I was the "new girl" and Brandon offered to show me around. We started out as friends and eventually started dating.
Q: Who introduced you?
Brandon: We introduced ourselves to each other.
Q: Where did you each grow up?
Brandon: I grew up in Murrysville and Jessica grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, so you can imagine our home during football season!
Q: Who proposed? How?
Jessica: On the evening of July 11, 2010, Brandon asked me to go out and run some errands with him. After stopping at a few stores to throw me off, he headed for our final destination -- the shore of a beautiful lake. We both sat along the shore and talked. Right before leaving, as the sun was setting Brandon got down on one knee and proposed. I said, "Yes!"
Q: Where were you married? Why did you choose that site?
Jessica: We got married at The Plaza Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. We chose this location because it was an older church that looked like something right out of a romance novel. It had wooden floors and pews and a gorgeous antique organ with huge piping going up the walls. It was everything I could have ever imagined.
Q: Where was the reception and honeymoon? Why did you choose those sites?
Brandon: We had our reception at the Marriott hotel. It was a perfect choice because it had tons of space for us to entertain our guests. We used the patio for a cocktail hour with live entertainment. Then, we moved our guests inside for a seated dinner with white glove service. It was perfect. We really thought about our guests and what would help them have a great time.
Q: What was the best part? The worst?
Jessica: The best part, besides marrying my best friend, was the fact that both of our fathers married us. After my dad walked me down the aisle, he turned and joined Brandon's dad and they both performed the ceremony.
Brandon: The worst part was probably the organist. He was a little too animated.
