Worthy of bridges

Obviously letter writer Eric Marchbein ("A Bridge Too Soon," Aug. 30) has not read David McCullough's books. His books are researched for historical authenticity and written with attention to every detail, in a manner that makes you wish they'd never end.

Since we started naming bridges, there is nobody more worthy -- though Gene Kelly is equal.
