What it's all about

Hooray for Art Bonneau of Bethel Park ("Citizens Need Arms," Jan. 7). This letter should be mandatory reading in every classroom in the United States. In fact, the Post-Gazette should put this letter on the front of the paper for at least a week so that everyone could get a chance to read it. This is what it is all about.

Mr. Bonneau talks about the tragedy in Cambodia in the 1970s. Look at what happened in Germany before that, and we all know the results. How many lives were lost?

Take heed, you anti-gun crusaders. You think it can't happen here in the United States. Get real, look around. How much freedom do you want to lose before you see the light? Citizens with handguns, shotguns and rifles are no match for a government that can use automatic weapons on them.

Now I say all you gun owners and National Rifle Association members need to get involved and write or call your senator and congressman and let them know how they should vote on gun rights issues. We pay them. They work for us. It's time for you to become more vocal before it's too late!
