What is Corbett's NCAA lawsuit costing us?

Who is paying for the lawsuit that Tom Corbett has filed against the NCAA ("Corbett Seeks Dismissal of Penn State Sanctions," Jan. 3)? His re-election committee? Or the Pennsylvania taxpayers? Is this money that could be going to education or to transportation? Is it coming from more cuts to social services?

This lawsuit is an obvious ploy to get the Penn State fans to support his re-election. He has probably seen polls that correctly identify him as part of the reason why the Jerry Sandusky investigation took as long as it did. If Tom Corbett had done his job as attorney general and investigated and prosecuted Jerry Sandusky in a timely way, perhaps the extended cover-up would not have happened and the resulting NCAA sanctions would not have been necessary.
