We can solve this

It almost seems like being able to own an assault weapon that fires multiple bullets with the pull of a trigger is more important to some people than any other right they have. How sad is that? There's so much more to living.

I've always been under the impression that human beings are superior because of our intelligence. If you want to be able to protect yourself and your loved ones, surely there must be a better way than to shoot a person. It doesn't require much intelligence to pull a trigger, just fear.

Human beings have discovered, invented and innovated in amazing ways. I'd like to believe that if we choose to come together and apply our brain power, collectively, we can solve our gun problem. Call me naive and unrealistic, but if you do, then you're copping out. It's easy and requires very little effort to criticize when there's a problem; it takes effort and brains to solve it. I'm going to stick with my glass-half-full approach to life and work with those of you who feel as I do, that a peaceful solution exists. We can do this.
