Using scare tactics

Let's get something straight about gun control proposals and guns. The public is not against guns used by hunters, a "one-shot" gun, or even pistols, licensed and for personal protection.

The public is against "multiple-shot" guns used by drug dealers, local terrorists or other criminals, causing bloody massacres of unsuspecting citizens -- occurring too often anymore.

But wait. I haven't heard a word about who has enacted current gun laws. How many congressmen signed or voted for the current laws? How about the lobbyists? How many lobbyists encouraged lawmakers to enact current laws that allow "multiple-shot" guns to be sold in this country?

Did they not know the difference between the gun of the hunter and the weapons of the criminal? Were they that stupid or that greedy?

The "no gun control" crowd tries to turn the issue in its favor by making the public believe the choice is either these criminal guns or no one owning a gun, knowing that this scares people into thinking we shall have no home protection for our families.

The next time we vote for a congressman, check his record on gun control, then vote him out!
